Hobstone Condos in Cape Elizabeth, Maine
Hobstone condominiums were built by FS. Plummer back in the late 80's.
They were far ahead of their time in their New England shingle style design, which of course is very popular now.
Hobstone's setting is on 44 wooded acres with Hobstone trails adjacent to The Cape Elizabeth land trust for enjoyment, as well as tennis courts.
Hobstone is only 5 minutes to all the Cape Elizabeth beaches and lighthouses and only 15-20 minutes to downtown Portland[if the bridge over Casco Bay is up, it might be longer] MAP VIEW

A nice feature of the Hobstone condos is the variety of floor plans. Some are all on one level, the majority have direct access to a garage. Some have to walk across a parking lot to their garage which is not as desirable.
Another nice feature of this community is that they are arranged into little cul-de-sacs with different names: Hunter Place, Concord Place, Merrimac Place,Resolution place, and Winslow Place. Each sort of it's own little neighborhood.
These condos have always sold well and they are at a 250-350K price point for the most part. With condo fees usually in the low to mid 300's per month.
A number of the Hobstone condos have red brick fireplaces, french glass doors leading to patios or decks.
Many owners have updated their original kitchens or baths which were mostly rather plain originally with laminate counters and plain cabinetry.
